We bought this fan to dry out the basement carpet and wanted something large to cover a good amount of area. Now our basement is dry and we use it to cool down the room. The air flow is very good and is more appealing than the metal fans. It's very light so you can move it around easily. The only con that I can think of is that the front cover does not secure well and falls off when picked up, which is not a problem if the fan is off.
These Lakewood 20 inch Kool Operator Fans are just great. They blow a nice wind into the room, and keep every one comfortable. This is low to the ground so even the pets like this fan. This fan is lightweight, and can be moved easily into any space as needed.
We've been using two of these Kool Operator 20-inch fans for the last four summers. Normally, we run them on Low speed setting, occasionally on Medium setting. They work great!
PRO: Quieter than either of our box fans.
Moves more air than our box fans.
More stable, won't tip over as easily as a box fan.
Can be tilted to direct airflow up or down towards you or your pets.
CON: Does not fit on our narrow window sills because of large feet on base.
I just bought this fan and I must say, I am very pleased with the output of air. I have used a few fans simular to this, and even the metal versions are not as good. I was a little hesitant at first because of the plastic constuction, but I must say it is very stable even on the higher settings, and the design of the grill make it safe for kids and pets. If you are looking for something that's really affordable and gives you the desired air flow results, than this is a NO BRAINER. A must buy.
