Lakewood simply makes the best fans. This is my third Lakewood. The first was the 16'stand up which finally died after ten years of nearly constant use. I bought the fan for my home from a yard sale at my son's school. We tested it and it sounded fine so we brought it home. I set it up in my kitchen and found that there was a loud rattle so i had to tape a block to the back to make it stop and it is loud on the high speed.
