I have teenagers and would like to know which laptop or notebook would be best for them.  I'm sure they all want wireless access and also be able to watch movies or play games and do home work on it.  What would you suggest?

We have had 3 or so Dell laptops.  They seem to work pretty well for our uses.  I haven't used any other laptop, so I have nothing to compare!  But, we have been happy with the Dell Inspirons.

Are you getting this for mostly home use?  Do kids take their computers to school to take notes, or use in class, these days?

I own an Acer web book...with this being wireless, I can talk through my wireless router and copy files from any of my other PC's. I can print to the laser printer as well, all wirelessly. I will not say that the Acer can hold up against childrens use, but the daily bumps and grinds mine is subjected to seems to do it no harm.

I would suggest the HP TX2 notebook.  It has a touch screen, is small 12.1 inch screen and you can write on the screen!  It would be a great laptop that would also help him if he decides to go to college.  I love mine, its really everything i need and more.

you can use the windows 7 operating system on the netbooks. you can either purchase your net book with microsoft office and home 2007(word, excel, power point) pre installed or you can purchase the program and install it on your netbook yourself. just font forget you will need an external optical drive or buy the downlaod verision.
