Hi sgiorgilli-Welcome to MySears!  A netbook is a smaller version of a computer, with less memory, and really, used primarliy for going online.  A notebook is another word for laptop.  There are a bunch of older threads on the benefits of laptop vs. netbook and vice versa.  Here is one to get you started, if you are interested in reading up:
