I bought a 2009 PGT9000 Garden Tractor and an older new 46" 2 stagesnow thrower. The manual for mounting the snow thrower does not cover this new of tractor with the automatic transmission. Could anyone help me with this installation and extra parts needed. Thanks!!!

i have contacted the vendor and unfortunately the snowblower you have will not work with the PGT9000. The blower is a 2007 model and was not designed for the new platform nor is there a mounting kit available. The current model  is 24838 which is $1039, $999 if you are a Craftsman Club Member. you will also need the 24831 Garden tractor mounting kit for $44.99

Hi Tom, sounds like you want to compare the frames. 2006 saw the last of the Garden Tractors with rail frames. Here's a parts diagram for an '06 917.286460 if it helps.

Thanks for the tractor information, but it does not help. I need the model # or part # for a 2004 garden tractor.

I bought a 2009 PGT9000 garden tractor and a 46" snowblower. There are no mounting brackets made for this combination. I modified brackets and mounted the snowblower and used it today, it worked great and fast with only 6 inches of snow

Would you do some rating on this PGT9000 tractor ? Is it true that gage wheels of the deck will leave some striking on the ground when you make a tight turn and the ground is bumpee ?
