LockedCordless Pruner - New item

posted on January 15, 2010 at 04:03PM Inappropriate?

I am wondering how our new cordless pruner will do....I think it is a sure win product for those of us with less hand strength and I know my hand gets tired after working my way around the outside of the house doing pruning....

It will cut up to a 1/2 in diameter branch.

not great..but not bad!  I may have to give it a serious look!

I think this will be a great addition to the lawn & garden line up and another Craftsman innovation.  As a friendly reminder, we also have non-power pruning items.

I think it is a great idea. Yet another Craftsman tool to add to my "give myself a gift" list!

Does it have a model number yet?

Is the battery internal or replaceable external - like the Nextec or C3's?

Does it have a bypass or anvil cutting action?

I miss the old Craftsman hand-held, electrical, yellow cased, weed/ hedge trimmer units...

Adam - the item number is 74431. It has an internal battery with built in fuel guage. 500 cuts per charge, 3-5 hour charger with full charge at 5 hours. Bypass cutting action. Will cut branches up to 1/2". We are very excited about this new Craftsman sku!

give me an inch and a half and I will buy two!

The new product sounds intrigueing.

I've got almost an acre of overgrown black-berry vines to trim back to do.

A new form of power trimmer might prove very useful - after the initial carnage with my Craftsman High-wheel trimmer has been doing on the easy access areas of the property has been accomplished.

Will I be seeing the tool in the stores?

This sounds fascinating. We don't have it in my store yet but I can't wait to see it. You said it has bypass cutting action, can you tell what causes the blade to move?

Motorized cantilever? Piston spring? Magical pixies?

Pixies!

My ratchet-rebuilding elf is lonely.

Let me know if the pruner is powered by pixies...

I have a LOT of vines to prune.

So, I'll be looking forward to seeing the new powered Pruning tool in the store.

I'm also looking forward to some day seeing the new C3 19.2 volt Chain saw accessory in a store, eventually.
