The mower is red.

J19LM

Do you know the item or model number?
J19LM is the most common but a few carry the RJ19LM

If you don't have the number I would recommend the 71/33943 E3.10 Spark plug, it's very universal and has a pretty awesome life span.

I like the One-Tug-Plug myself. :)

Yep, sounds like the majority of my customers. Then they look at me like I'm supposed to know everything! Of course, if it's a Briggs engine... J19LM!

What is the difference between a J19LM and RJ19LM plug?

Not having the "right" spark plug is a PLOT to make me buy a new mower!

Is there an upgrade kit to convert my mower into a self-propelled mower?

I don't like this white grass bag.

I'd like a black bag to go with the mower.

You don't sell bags at the store?

RJ19LM has a resistor to reduce RF interference.I always considered them interchangeable with J19LM.For years and years 143 source Craftsman engines always used a J8.But I thought Briggs engines used the compact CJ8.Maybe my memory is starting to fail.

Ah! The resistor is not a "requirement", more than a convenience to avoid annoying the neighbors.

How do I get the spark plug "out"?

posted on September 05, 2009 at 05:50PM

Is there a special tool?

It should have been "included" with the machine!

Is that Metrical, Fractational or a special Sears size?

These new machines are so complicated!

Ah yes... I get this question all the time. The answer I give my customers everytime is "About 3-4 dollars."

If I break the porcelain on the spark plug, will Sears give me a new plug?

Can I upgrade my tires?

Phone call, I hope it was a joke

Well, if Sears is not going to "stand behind" its equipment (including spark plugs)...

What kind of tire upgrade?

The thing won't start. Sears should do free Service on it. All the Craftsman stuff is life-time warranted...  I've owned the red mower for only around 6 years.

Where would I find "gapping" information for the plug and what is the torque value for putting a new plug in?
