We have 3 Leapster systems in our home and I have to say that from the ages of 3-7 my kids could not put these down. Both our boys learned to read in part from playing the Leapster games. The system itself is pretty durable. I would recommend buying rechargeable batteries, or the Leapster charging system or you will be going through a lot of batteries. Excellent toy, very pleased with our purchases.
I just bought this for my four year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. She hasn't put it down since we gave it to her. I am very impressed that it is helping her learn while she is having so much fun. I love the fact that she thinks she is just playing a video game but all the while she is learning in the process. I'm sorry I didn't find it sooner.
My 5 year old loves her leapster. It teaches her all kind of things like counting, math, and reading. I would recommend this product.

This is such a great product. My 4year old got it for her birthday in Oct. and she just loves it. I love it because it seems to be very sturdy. She has dropped it several times and it just keeps going. It has also kept her from wanting to take her older siblings Nintendo DS. I believe this game is a very good investment.
Great toy--gives the little kids a sense that they are playing a big kids video game while it is actually educational.

The Leapster handheld gaming system is a wonderful gift for little ones... my 4 year old loves her brothers, and her 7 year old brother loves it as well! The games are purely educational, so they learn as they play... GREAT system.

I have this for my nephew. He loves it. When the older kids pull out their handheld video games he runs to grab his Leapster. It has really helped him learn so much.
This is the best! My three sons absolutely love it and learn from it. They are 6, 4, and 2 and fight over it so much that even though we have two of them, we are getting another for Christmas. I would definately recommend the recharging pack to go with it.
This game is great my 4 year old daughter loves it. We can take it anywhere the airplane and the car. This is a good toy for the kids that want a gameboy but are to small for one. The only problem with it is that it goes blank for no reason.
My son has one of these and he loves to play it. He enjoys it and he's learning alot. It's also durable. He's dropped it a few times and I've had no problems with it whatsoever.
This game is a good fit for my granddaughter who is four. My older daughters have the Nintendo DS and she always wants to play on them. This gives her something that is fun easy to manuever and she is learnign while she plays.
