I think this is a great product. I am able to use it for both of my kids that are of different ages. It's easily transported and I love that it is very educational. You have the option of having the narration on or off. The kids love it and the books that go with them are pretty interesting. My only... read full review »

I don't think this should be marketed to babies. Unless you are always there with them while they use it, when they turn the page, it wont correspond to what it's saying. The pages however, indestructible. My baby is rough with them and they will not tear out. He only looks thru the book without... read full review »

Great

My son loved to used this everynight.  He loved the Little Engine that Could story.  It was also very helpful with learning colors and shapes.  I would recommend this to any new parent.

Great starter Leap pad

We received this as a gift for my first child. He played with it till he moved to the next level. Now my second child is starting to use it. He is about 1 & 1/2 and many times will grab it on his own and start using it. Many times the younger and older child will both be using their Leap Pads at the same time. The only cons are there is not alot of book varieties for this particular leap pad although they seem to be starting to bring more out. Also I think the 6 month starting age is a little early unless your child is very into reading or looking at books that young. Age 1 is probably more realistic... read full review »

I would recommend

This is a great product, I would definately recommend to all, it works great and puts up with the drops and falls that will happen with your little one. I have been using leap pads for many ages for my children for 10 years, they are very educational and very durable, I still have one of the first leap pads from my 10 year old that my youngest child uses all the time and still works great. I seriously recommend to all, just in time for the holidays.

Great toy

I bought this for my daughter, knowing she would learn from it, and she still loves it! However, she is 4 now, so we will be moving up to the next Leapfrog learning system!

Great overall product

My son loved this - especially on road trips. We are now giving to my niece so you can be assured it stands up to abuse from kids too!

My child loved this but grew out of it quickly as the other leap frog products were more challenging.

We have had one of these in the house for a couple years and my son still loves it. He hasn't learned to press the green go buttons yet though.
