Lincoln Park Zoo - Chicago, IL —

I love Lincoln Park Zoo. It's a perfect place to go when the weather is nice! It's not going to be the best zoo you've ever been too but it is definitely worth the trip. My husband and I spent our first date there walking around the zoo, sipping hot chocolate, during their annual Zoo Lights. It was very romantic! Parking on the weekend can be a bit hairy - but the parking lot rate is reasonable considering the zoo is free. So pack a picnic and bring the kids and have a great time! Definitely take a ride on the merry-go-round too! And walk through the gardens and bask in the sun - it's a great location and lots to see and do. And don't forget sunscreen!

The new Ape exhibit is fantastic too - really well done. My only complaints are that the animal houses can get realy hot during the summer and the food is pretty darn expensive!
