Most Helpful Favorable Review

I grew tired of having to keep all of my remotes around to do special functions on my equipment. I had been looking for a remote for a while that would be easy for everyone to use, and I stumbled across the harmony 520.

For the price, you cannot beat the features of this remote. The initial setup...

Most Helpful Critical Review

I would love to keep this remote- it controls everything, and the USB programming (while tedious) is a one-time hassle, after it is programmed, it is easy to use, and really performs quite well.

Sadly, it has a major flaw that has caused me to retire it from use.

The volume control is a very thin, cheap,...

Logitech Harmony Universal Remote Control Reviews

We've been through 3 remotes trying to find one that does all that we want for a reasonable price. We needed a remote to control 8 devices and tried the Harmony 670. The buttons on that remote were too hard to press for my wife who has RA. This remote has soft buttons that are very easy on the fingers and always work with one press of the button!

One thing we would change: would be to make the text bigger on the screen.

Please note, I am a Sears employee.

best all in one remote

I use this for the home theatre room, a.k.a. the "man cave" and I can honestly say I do not know how I got by without this. Normally I would use 4 remotes, one for the tv, one for the receiver, one for the blu ray player, and one for the satellite box. With this remote I can control all of them and have no need to find 4 remotes.

can't beat it for the price

i have the harmony 890 for my theater room, but needed a universal remote for the family room, didn't want to spend $300 so i bought this. it's limited to 4 activities, but works perfectly... i love it.

I like it, but it feels so cheap.

I like the remote, no doubt, but it feels so cheap, it feels like I can break it in half. Setup was very easy, but it feels so cheap. I really don't recommend it, because it feels like that it will not last in the long run.

Harmony Remote

This is a great remote. It does what is claims it will. It is a little hard to get started up. I got it for $60 on sale. My only cons with it are the paint on back side and number pad wore out quickly and I wish it controlled lights and fan

Screen Almost Unreadable

I already owned a Harmony 720 for my main AV system. I LOVE that remote, but I couldn't justify the cost of another 720 for my bedroom system, so I bought the 520. I really wanted to like it, but couldn't. There's nothing wrong with the functionality, but the font on the screen is too small and too dim to read easily. The backlight doesn't help it any - in fact it makes it worse. I finally took it back and purchased a Harmony 550 for only about $10 more. That remote is a great compromise between the 520 and 720. It looks better, feels sturdier and you can actually read the font on the screen. I... read full review »

Simple and Effective

Worked great. Follow directions, set up is a breeze. Even fine tuning was simple once I got used to the software. Have been able to eliminate 4 remotes with this one. Highly recommend it.

Good, but...

The Harmony remotes are a very good idea but this particular remote is lacking. The buttons are hard to press. All buttons need to be raised. I have the same problem with the hHarmony 880. I'd recommend the 670 in the lower priced range and the One in the higher priced range. If money is no object, get the Harmony One.

Good Remote For The Money

I grew tired of having to keep all of my remotes around to do special functions on my equipment. I had been looking for a remote for a while that would be easy for everyone to use, and I stumbled across the harmony 520. For $60, you cannot beat the features of this remote. The initial setup is fairly easy and straightforward, but what I really enjoyed is being able to program the individual screens of the remote and tailor them to what I need. So far, the remote has been flawless, and I have enjoyed tinkering with the customizable buttons just as much. Great remote Logitech!
