Fantastic Remote

I have to admit I was a little skeptical paying so much for a remote, but this one is definitely worth it. It only took 30 minutes to program everything using my computer. The step by step instructions were simple, but I did have one issue with my satellite programming. Logitech customer service fixed the problem within 5 minutes. It was my error, not the software. My only problem with this remote is that it does not have IR. It can be frustrating if you do not point the remote in the center of the components being turned on. The HELP button will fix the problem very quickly, but this remote would... read full review »

LOVE IT!!

To quote a reviewer on another website, "Next, I'm gonna teach this thing to tie my shoes!" My wife used to be totally intimidated by our home theater system and the 4 remotes to run it all. She'd call me at work to walk her through the process of changing from watching TV to watching a DVD. I purchased this Logitech Harmony 720 remote as a Christmas present for her. I had already programmed it before wrapping it. After she opened it, I didn't explain how to work it, I just asked her to figure out how to watch a DVD. One Remote

The Harmony 720 is the perfect solution for anyone that owns several devices and who is tired of using multiple remote controls to operate the devices. I was amazed at the ease of setup and that all 6 of my components can now be controlled by the use of a single universal remote! What more can you ask for?

Little value for price

I have owned many universal remotes and the feature list of this remote does not justify the $200 cost. Yes, it is easy to set up and performs adequately. For what it costs it should have at least some form of scheduling ability.

remotes

I diagree... if the remote does everything its advertised to do ..its worth the $$. Over time this remote will prove itself in just convience alone. Buy a cheap remote you will will get cheap quality or even a lack of features. None of the cheaper remotes do what I need them to do ..and are not even worth the cheaper price.

Software Issues

The 7.0 software with this remote is outdated. The software had to be updated online and with dial-up - took over 12 hours. The connection with Logitech would drop out and had to be re-installed. After spending hours trying to get software finally used different link on their site. Logitech Customer Service is terrible because of lanuage barriers with the outsource reps and their hours of operation are not 24/7. After installation - the remote would not work with the DISH PVR. Remote was unable to work with Kenwood audio system that was hooked through the devices. Customer service was unable to... read full review »
