i got my island today and my daughter and son in law put it together for me. It took them about an hour and I absolutly love it. I have been looking for an island for about a month and the ones I liked( that looked like furniture) were about $1000.00. I knew when I saw it in the store it was going to... review »

This product is very sturdy and looks expensive. However, the doors on either side came broken and even fixed looked very cheap. I ended up leaving them off and putting cookbooks on the shelves. The drawer just slides and is not on a track so you have to be careful not to scratch the bottom. As an accent... review »

It came with a small dent in the butcher block top and I'm picky about those kinds of things, but overall, I'm VERY happy with it...my kitchen isn't very big and this helps out a lot!!! It came within a week of ordering so that was good, too!

sturdy, finish scratches easy

I bought this today after it went on sale; I've had my eye on it for awhile. Putting it together was not too bad (took a couple hours). It is sturdy and does not wobble at all; pretty happy with it for the price in that respect. I put a couple of metal things on the shelves (cannisters); although I put them on lightly, it scratched up the finish already (seems like the paint finish is awfully soft). Nevertheless, I am very happy with it.

Love this kitchen island! It was a breeze to put together, though it did take some time (about an hour and a half). This is a very solid, well made piece of furniture. It is well suited for use as a baking center and it fits well in my L-shaped kitchen. I can see it as the perfect place to prepare any meal and it is very attractive, too. Love that the drawer and door open from either side.

We are redoing our kitchen and this was the perfect accent piece. Excellent value. Very sturdy. Easy to put together. Would definitely recommend this piece to anyone.

Came badly damaged. Thought maybe due to shippers. When exchanged in store, found cracks in wood of same framework (under butcherblock)that shattered during shipping.
