Great! Wish I had bought sooner!

I have had this dishwasher for about 1 month now and it works fantastic. I am renting an older style house that does not have a dishwasher, so this option is perfect. I found that the "Light wash" cycle works just as well as the "Normal" cycle and the dishes are done in less time. (about 1 hour). I have... read full review »

Defective

Just took delivery of this machine on 1/2/08 and went to use it for the first time and machine will not dump out the water after first wash. Its connected to the faucet and went over instructions many times. Sears is coming out on 1/9/08 to repair a brand new machine. I thought Maytag was a good brand???... read full review »

Deep Tub Is Great

I tried to do without a dishwasher until redoing my kitchen but after six months of hand washing I gave up. After 15 years with my old GE I was used to a noisy portable. This one is quiet. I LOVE the tall tub. I can put large cooking utensils in it, large pots, large platters - it is great. I wish I could build this into my new kitchen design. And it is energy friendly!P

Maytag Portable

I had a Whirlpool portable for over 20 years and it still worked fine, it was getting ugly and beat up which prompted the purchase of this new Maytag, December 10th, 2008. It took a bit of getting used to, the racks are so different and the silverware holder is in the bottom rack, the Whirlpool had it in the door, which I prefer. I find that the hoses are longer on the new Maytag, which I prefer and it is a bit quieter. It runs for almost 2 hours on the "normal" setting. I had to have a service call recently (before it was a month old) due to a horrible noise, turns out one of the little grips... read full review »

Love this dishwasher

I purchased this dishwasher on-line 2 months ago. I have been very happy with it since the first day. No need to rinse dishes, just scrape as it says to do. Dishes come out sparkling clean. Glasses have absolutely no spots. I use the product they recommend that came with the dishwasher. I only rinse dishes with tomato sauce as the instructions suggest, but other than that, I am thrilled with just a little scraping and putting it in the dishwasher. As far as noise, it is relatively quiet. I expected it to be louder so this was a nice bonus. I give this dishwasher a big thumbs up!!!

Excellent!

After four years of doing dishes by hand, we had enough. I bought this dishwasher last November and it has been life changing. Works perfectly and gets our dishes spotless and dry every time. If people have problems with spotting, sometimes it's the detergent they are using, not the machine itself. If they got a defective one, they should take it back -- that can happen obviously on any item that one purchases. We have had no problems whatsoever. Highly recommend!

No more washing dishes by hand!

I live in an old, second floor apartment. The kitchen is very tiny and there is no cabinet space for a built-in dishwasher. After doing some online research, I decided to go with this Maytag model from Sears. I absolutely love it! I was able to install the faucet adapter easily, load up the washer and run it immediately upon delivery. Not as quiet as a built-in model, but that's to be expected with a portable. The downstairs neighbors said they didn't hear it being run, which was my main concern. I am so pleased!

Everybody should have one of these!

I purchased this online about 2 months ago. I have used it every day since purchase. I was hesitant about buying a portable dishwasher but since I was sick and tired of washing dishes by hand I decided to give it a try. AND I LOVE IT!!! I WILL ALWAYS HAVE A DISHWASHER! This is great for people with small kitchens. It is not too noisy. It is very easy to hook up to the kitchen faucet. It connects like a quick connect garden hose. It washes the dishes well. I have not had to rinse the dishes off. I only rinse off the spaghetti sauce so it will stay pretty and white inside (just a personsal preference... read full review »

Good, reliable choice

I have used this machine for several years and had no mechanical problems. All I want a dishwasher to do is get the dishes clean, and this does that very well. I have a few minor complaints. It is a louder than a built-in dishwasher, although quieter than another portable I had once. I usually run the dishes at night to keep from hearing it in my small apartment. The bottom rack is not as well designed as some dishwashers. Also, the pressure in the line made a fixture leak that had one handle rather than two for the hot and cold water. I have had no problems hooking it to traditional faucets. However,... read full review »

Buy a Whirlpool

We picked up this machine 2/21/08 and ran it while we went out for supper. We assumed it ran fine because by the time we got home it had shut off (3 hours later). The second time we ran it for over 2 hours and it never dumped the water. I had to turn it off to get it to drain. I went to my local Sears store, explained the problem and they agreed something was wrong. We returned the Maytag the next day. Online it states you have 90 days with any purchase to return it if you are not happy. I was NOT happy and back it went. We were replacing a 15 year old Whirlpool and I decided, better stick with... read full review »

love love love it!!!

This was delivered to me on 1/108 and I love love love it!!!! It is so great and it is so nice that I don't have to wash my dishes anymore. I looked at other models but this one was my choice and I haven't looked back. My only complaint is that because I have a spray hose on my sink I can' t leave the dish washer running when I am not at home or sleeping because the pressure will shoot the hose out of the sink (according to the manual). I don't really want to find out the hard way either. Bottom line if you are thinking about a portable DW buy this one AND sears has the best price around.

peace and quiet

I've known that Maytag was one of the better reasonably priced dishwashers on the market for some time. I've also known that the portable Maytag was probably the quietest portable on the market. The night that we hooked up our older dishwasher when we went to bed was the last straw. It was so LOUD, I couldn't sleep. I looked at the specs for the different portables, and when the Maytag went on sale I decided to pounce. It is amazingly quiet for a portable. I like the fact that it has 3 spray arms and no tower. The water shoots jets on 4 different levels and the dishes are really clean. You really... read full review »

I LOVE THIS DISHWASHER!!!

I have had this dishwasher for a couple of months now and I LOVE it!!! It gets the dishes super clean! If you are thinking about buying it, do it. It is a life saver! Works just as well as a "real" dishwasher and gives you a little more counter space! It even gets the stuck-on food off of the dishes with out me having to pre-scrub or pre-soak! It is easy to use and easy to move around the kitchen. I love it!
