I am pretty openminded, but this dryer is not the quality I expected from Maytag. I have had this dryer 2 days and the plastic handle insert on the door has fallen off. My old dryer kicked the bucket while I had house guests. I was worried about how to get a new dryer without spending a lot of time looking at various stores and spening time away from home with my guests there. I read the reviews of this dryer on line and decided I would give it a try based on what others said about it. I was very pleased to find my new dryer was delivered in two days and was put immediately to work. I love the extra large tub and the easy lint filter. I find the dryer to be all that It is supposed to be and the fact that it dries quickly and without wrinkling my clothes.
Love, Love, Love, this dryer! This dryer is much larger than I expected it to be. I am very pleased with how quickly this dryer is able to handle even the largest loads. I can fit a king size mattress pad in this dryer and it will be completely dry when I set the dryer to "energy preferred" setting. I am truly amazed by both the performance and the size. Makes a great combination with the Centennial 3.2 cu ft SuperSize Capacity Plus Top Load Washer. I would recommend this dryer to anyone looking for great performance at a great price.
Did my research and went with this dryer for the size, consumer satisfaction and price. My wife is more than happy with it. She likes it so much I expect to see my electric bill go up from all the laundry that is suddenly being done. Sears was great, ordered online and picked it up from the local Sears Hardware down the street from my house. Very pleased all around!
We got a very large waher and was concerned about what size dryer to get to match. Wondering if we needed the matching set, we asked our sales person who said no, she recommended this dryer. SHe was exactly right! It does a wonderful job with the size loads we are putting in it!!!! I love the signal to let us know when the load is done. The wrinkly prevent is another nice feature that we have never had before. I highly recommend this dryer not only for the price but for the capacity and how well it does with the clothes!!!!!!
This dryer has a huge capacity and dries in no time. I'm just sorry I didn't buy it sooner.
Purchased with the 5720T Maytag washer. This dryer performs as you would expect a machine built by Maytag. Super quite, and the auto dry works as stated. We highly recommend this dryer. Quality built, controls, door, and lint screen feel and fit perfectly. A good buy.
Aesthetically pleasing and commercially sturdy, this machine so far has been a pleasure to use. Very quiet. Had some difficulty installing in a closet because of vent extension in back - resolved by using clamps.
It has been a long time since I have purchased a dryer, so the newer features are... well... new to me. In the past the autodry settings on dryers were hit and miss on how well they functioned. But this dryer was right on the money. I was suspicious at first but after several loads, including jeans, towels, and even a rug, it has taken them to the right dryness level each time. I was surprised.
The interior light is also a nice feature... no more forgeting that single sock in the dryer. I am easily amused. hehe.
