With the current budget crisis ongoing, there is a Meat Marinade made by McCormick by that name (McCormick Meat Marinade Seasoning Mix) which will make any steak taste scrumdelicious (now that is one of my favorite words for good food)!! It only takes a little vinegar/oil (I use olive oil) and water. I turn on my oldies but goodies and shake the heck out of it and my old body then pour it into a covered type bowl. I place the meat and stab the meat with a fork to make sure it is dead (which allows the marinade to get inside the meat). Then I set it aside (the package says 15 minutes) but since i am an old codger I marinade it for a couple of hours. During that time I drink a beer or two and occasionally go up and shake it again to insure the marinade gets all through the meat. After a couple more of those hmmmm beverages, and after starting the grill (I prefer the good old charcoal grill) I take the steaks out and place them on the grill. Now I love my meat medium rare (even though i stabbed it to make sure it is dead, my bride of 40 tells me that mine still moos when i take it off) and the bride likes hers medium to medium well (what a shame) so i put hers on first. The package says to discard the remaining marinade but i pour mine over the meat as it cooks. Seems to make it even taste better whether it moos or not. So I highly recommend this marinade to all.
