I have over 20k on this set, still ride smooth, great traction w/out noise. The cost maybe more but do the math. Buy a cheaper tire for $40.00 less and replace it 40k miles earlier. The last set had 70k replaced due to tierod end wornout. You need a safe tire that will stick to the road and wear smooth.
Last September I wrote and stated I'd probably buy a new set at 70k. I was wrong --I'm closing on 80k and I could very well shoot for 90k!
The tires are exceptional and since they've lasted so long I've had ample time to budget and save for the next set and pay cash!
Give 'em a roll --you can't go wrong with these tires, thanx to Michelin.
My XTs are still good for another 10,000-15,000 miles! These tires are great in every performance aspect and they are quiet on my F-150. I travel throughout the SW in all weather conditions in different seasons and I've yet to experience any trouble with the tires.
I recommend them highly and encourage the buyer to rotate and balance the tires every 15,000 as I did and check proper tire inflation at least once a week (I do it on Sunday mornings!)
I'll be buying my 2d set at 70 or 75k though I might shoot for 80k...
Great tires! The original set had 66,000 miles on my Explorer, and still had plenty of grip. Great in wet and snow, quiet on the highway, and lots of traction on sand dunes and slippery boat ramps. I replaced the originals with the exact same tire . . . you get what you pay for.
70,000 miles on Ford Expedition......what else do you need to know. Quiet, smooth, good dry, wet or snow. Pay up, they are worth every penny.
