This game is the first in the "Gears of War" series. The gore and graphic violence of this game far surpass that of Halo or any other Microsoft titles to date. While this game is a little hazy in the story department it's multiplayer features will keep you busy for endless hours of game play. A great preface for Gears of War 2 this game will get you used to some of the quirks of the game world and have you actively reloading it for months to come.
You will really have fun when you play this game.
As much as i hate to, I really have to give this game a positive review! My husband loves it and plays it for hours! I do have to admit I am becoming a little jealous as I think he could be spending more time with me! But needless to say he can play this game for hours and never get bored with is! Im not much of a gamer but i dont even mind watching him play it...for a few minutes! But all kidding aside, it seems to have good graphics and has many different stages and my husband really does love it!
Oh Gears of War.. How many good times we've had together. I'll keep this short, this game is great and is definitely a MUST-HAVE game.
My boys love this game! I'm not a big video game player but this game look way too much fun not to try for myself. The graphics are wicked, and it's just a lot of fun.

No Xbox owner should be without this game - for pure FPS fun, few games surpass Gears of War. The action is fun, the graphics are good if a bit drab, but the most memorable feature is the chaingun. Ducking behind a pillar while a grub takes shots at you, then running up to him and eviscerating him with your chainsaw never gets old. The main storyline is shorter than I'd like, but multiplayer will keep you playing for a long time to come.
Gears of War is an Xbox 360 exclusive third-person shooter developed by Epic Games. Gears combines an excellent sci-fi storyline with both single and multi-player features. What sets Gears apart from other games is the gameplay that it has implemented. Using a third-person perspective, Gears utilizes an intelligent cover system which allows for increased action and tactics during combat in which other games have since emulated constantly.

read full review »i love microsoft gears of war it is such a god game. if you like strategy games and military and fighting and just sick weapons... you are going to die for this game. i love to play online and the graphics are so good its unbeiliveable. it is so addicting and i never want to put it down.
Fun game to play. The graphic is great and surpasses most other shooter games. I like most of the features in the game. The multi-players aspect of the game is excellent and makes the game more valueable. The storyline is very interesting compare to other third-person shooter games.
Gears of War emmerses you in a war between the COG ( Coalition of Ordered Governments) and the Locust Horde, a subtarrainian race that invades Sera on E Day. The campaign has beautiful visuals and gameplay. Marcus Fenix is a perfect hero who has been wronged by the very force he's fighting for. The online gameplay is smooth and VERY competitive. The third person view is beautiful. I have fallen in love with third person games. It is a must own and one of my all time favorites. I used to be a hater of the game before I ever played it. read full review »I love military games! I dont know about you but I have played with a lot of video games when I as younger. Even while i was in college. I used to play this game with my roomate, and the graphics on the gears of war are absolutely sweeet!. More over, im not a huge fan of Gore, but the fact that i get to use a power rifle with a chain saw to rip those monsters into shreds was absolutely awesome! Hey I am a guy, what else can i say?
