Microwave stops working after 25 sec of cooking

I have a whirlpool over the range microwave md# MH2155XPS-2, it's 3 yrs old. I go to operate the microwave and after 20+ sec it starts to smoke and it trips my circuit box. The light, and vent fan work. This happend after a strong rain hit our area last week. **Note the unit had been working fine before this rain . Any ideas

Water down the vent pipe, maybe?
