Mio Moov 200 Portable GPS Navigator w/ 3.5 in. Touchscreen Display —
I bought it today as a cheap replacement for my 350$ Garmin which was stolen and turns out...I like sooo much better than that Garmin!
First off, maybe this is just a personal preference, but I do like the voice that speaks to me so much more than the Garmin's one that was driving me nuts sometimes! It just had that condescending and patronizing tone that I HATED...but this one is far more...REAL. Plus, you have so many options to choose from: 2 female voices and 2 male voices (as the US English only, but you could even pick the UK English as well!) so if you ever get fed up with one of the voices that's guiding you...you could just change it.
I know I haven't had it for too long(I will have to get back at you in a couple of months), but I took it for a test drive Downtown Seattle (where my Garmin would just take minutes in re-calculating routes and turns and sometimes would even get lost itself) and I loved it! It reroutes you so much faster than a Garmin, and the Satellite reception is so good it even works in my apartment.
The Points of Interest aspect is a pretty good one also. It instantly finds points near you, or by name, or by address, and comparing to the other one, this is done in no time!
Having had a Garmin in the past it helps me compare the products really well and gives me a better idea on what I had then and what I have now. The bad part is that most people don't trust new products and even the sales persons will guide you endlessly towards more common products or bigger companies, like Garmin, TomTom, or Magellan.
But if you get your Mio Moov, I don't think you'll have any regrets. For the price, you won't get anything better in its range, not even close!
