LockedHeroes At Home

Our store has been absolutely rocking with Heroes at Home! The new register-based system has completely transformed our store's ability to raise funds for this great charity. I'm a bit disappointed that the collateral didn't show up until recently, but all in all a big success.

That is great news.  It is such a terrific program, and so easy to promote, I would think.  If customers are informed, and it is easy to process at the register, lots of folks with give to Heroes at Home, I think!

Do the associates just ask the customers when checking out if they would be interested in donating, and add the amount to their total when cashing out?

Yup!

The register operators all ask.

I get the best results from "Veterans".

They really understand the unique challenges of re-entering civilian society, that the heros at home face.

Sears is also supporting the construction of handi-capped home access for Heros, that sorely need it.
