Hi, I'm from Store 2523 in Tewksbury, MA. Anyone heard about when/if the alleged upgrade for computer downloading speed is going to happen? We received a notification about it almost a year ago, yet not a jot of change. Also, anyone know anything about Internet Explorer being updated so it doesn't have javascript errors every time you try to load anything on sears.com?

Great news! The new terminals use new Browsers, that the OLD educational software doesn't work on!

So, in order to train, we need to have access to OLD browsers...

I guess EVERYTHING needs to upgrade, at pretty much "once".

You really shouldn't be getting those messages with your browser. The patches to alleviate script errors were updates from SP2. Check all your settings, and I recommend MalwareBytes free scanner to check for any malware. You can download the scanner for free at cnet.com.

The Sears kiosks are highly restricted Windows accounts.

You can't download or install anything, it must be done remotely by our IT department.

Depending on the PC, you can access basic functions, but as far as downloading anything but .pdf files, and most you can't even do that on, you are outta' luck...

I like how the everyday applications, like the time-clock tool, are getting "hidden" by the new applications.

The hot keys seem to be disabled on many of the terminals, also.

With all the banter about this subject, you folks still have not had an "official" response from those @ SHC IT about the multiple issues @ multiple store locations with the same computer problems.  Wonder why? Is the upgrade/update to massive or cost restrictive? A sad state of affairs I must say that cannot be fixed at store level. An IT "hit team" is sorely needed

I made a Parts Direct order for a Customer today.

He BROUGHT me the part number of the accessorie he wanted to order.

That saved almost twenty minutes of "searching".

But, the thing is working.

It just need to go "more faster" now.

Great job on the new site!

Yaa...

But, the home system is wicked fast.

Which means...

The websites are setup pretty well.

Just, the store servers need "help".

Great job on the websites...

What is a Revocation Certificate thingy?

I keep getting the pop-up window about continueing - Yes/No.

The Tool Department Kiosk isn't "slow" any more.

While they were futzing with the Christmas "wiring", they dropped the power to the support column that provided power TO the Kiosk.

So, slow no more...

It's DEAD!

I'm sure a "help ticket" has been generated.

Or, maybe a SMART workorder?
