If you are looking for ease in the kitchen, you won't go wrong with the Kitchen Aid Artisan Series 5 qt. Stand Mixer (The Red color is a bonus!). Hands free mixing, you can assemble the ingredients as you are mixing. Tired of kneeding your own bread? The Bread Hook on the mixer will take your bread from flour to loaf by just adding the right ingredients. I love spending less time in the kitchen and more time with the kids!
We got the mixer for our kitchen for"christmas" we have used it many times from making cakes to fresh squeezed OJ. So far we love it does well at each task we've given it. only bad thing is very heavy, but I guess it has to be to be as strong and durable.
I waited several months before writing my review, I wanted to be sure the mixer would meet my expectations! It more than met my expectations!
I have a lot of physical problems with my upper body and was to the point of having to choose whether or not to continue making cakes, cokies etc. My Hubby suggested getting a stand mixer, I did a lot of reading on the various brands. I decided the Kenmore Elite 5 quart mixer sounded perfect!
A big bonus is the handle on the large bowl, this makes it so easy to pour into the pan(s)! The 3 quart mixing bowl is ideal for small jobs!
I used it to make 7 different...
read full review »I have been looking for a new mixer to replace my 20 year old one with the bent beaters and the electrical tape around the cord. Well, I not only found a quality mixer but it is in my favorite color and it has a snap on compartment to hold the beaters so that I never lose them. It also has a slow start speed so that I don't get splatters everywhere when I first start mixing. The best part of all is that it was on sale at $5.00 off the regular price.
I do a lot of baking during the holidays and am always using my mixer. I have gone through several mixers. This one has lasted the longest.
This stand mixer is easy to use, efficient and can tackle all kinds of batters and doughs. I suspect the only reason I never bought one sooner is that I lived in small apartments with limited counter space. Now that I have a house, the KitchenAid Stand Mixer is permanently placed in a convenient corner by an electrical outlet. It saves wear and tear on the user, too, since you can park yourself on a barstool to oversee while the mixing progresses. This is a great convenience to me as I age and deal with various infirmities.
I bought this Kenmore Elite stand mixer and put it head-to-head with my KitchenAid Professional 600. They are similarly priced, with the KitchenAid being about $60 more expensive. Here's what it came down to:
LooksThe Kenmore wins here. It has a more modern design and look than the Pro 600.SoundI prefer the Kenmore on this one. They are similarly loud, but the Pro 600's sound is a much higher pitch and therefore a lot more annoying. Measured with a decibel app on my phone they hovered around the same area. The higher pitch on the Pro 600 does make it seem louder though.Attachment compatibility
