Nice Bike

Purchased about 2 months ago and have gone on several rides with my girlfriend. Both derallieurs needed major adjustments and the brakes were hard to adjust after I put on some narrower, semi-slick road tires. But overall the bike is impressively lightweight, has a solid, comfortable ride and is excellent... read full review »

Bike

For the money it is an OK purchase, but if you are looking for good quality this is not the bike for you. Many of the parts are plastic but like I said for a good quality you will spend 2-3 times this amount. My biggest dislike of bike is the rear handlebars, they seem very low and I feel hunched while... read full review »

Overall great value

What a great price for a tandem. Good value. I did have some minor repairs - the chain links were bent in a few places which caused some skipping while peddling - but a couple of pliers fixed that problem. The back handlebar does set low, but you can purchase an extender from your local bike shop to raise the bar - although my 8 year old doesn't mind. So, some common sense and a careful UPS delivery man, you will have a great bike! Peddle on!

Well designed Bike

Arrived assembled, but with minor damage (broken reflector, etc) and many parts - handlbars, etc - needing adjustment and alignment. You need to have some familiarity with bikes to get it running correctly. I replaced the seats (which looked more comfortable in the picture than they turned out to be). Tandem is not much heavier than many one-person bikes - yet it has a substantially beefier tandem grade frame, hubs, wheels, etc. It has a very wide range of gears, especially for a bike with the natural mechanical advantage of a tandem. So it is very easy to pedal. I have an older tandem, that I... read full review »

light

Only 46 pounds. Great components. Easy to assemble. This is my second tandem. I sold the first one because it was so heavy. This one is very light. And the first gear is strong like a tractor. Go for it !!!

First up, this bike is excellent value. The components are sensibly selected for a decent lifetime for most buyers in this segment. Ideal for comfortable family rides on roads and light trails. The weight of the bike is very good for the price and durability. The downside is that the bike arrived with 5 components missing, broken or wrong. Fortunately the manufacturer has friendly support and will send replacements. Less fortunately, their records list incorrect specs. It took some effort to convince them to send parts that would actually fit the bike. Most dangerously, one of the seatposts was... read full review »

Good Quality Tandem

This is probably my 7th bike, but my first tandem. I had it for three weeks when I write this. While it is not as precision as the multi-thousands of dollar tandem, it is of fairly high quality. The bike need to be assembled by an adults, (just like most other bike) and it runs smoothly, and all its components are of good quality. It performs as well as any (or better than most) other single person bike for the mass market. I considered it a very good buy for the money. It shifts smoothly, the brake is of high quality and stops well even with two people. All the regular adjustment needed on... read full review »

great value

This is my first tandem. I had it for a week when I write this. This bike arrived in a big box. Most of the parts are already put on and it took me less than 2 hours to finish assembling it. Some parts such as the brakes need adjustment before they can function properly. But after adjustments and several test run, the bike works well. We put 15 miles on the bike yesterday and it was lots of fun. The ride is comfortable. The bike is easy to handle except for the wider turn. The bike feels well balanced. The front brake has some squzing noise but works well otherwise. Shifting between 4th and 5th... read full review »
