I purchased this product about 3 years ago, and used it every day! Just the best coffee machine! I couldn't find a better model for a Christmas present to myself, so I purchased it again this year, and it has a bunch of improvements. I really love this inexpensive coffee machine :)

This is not the best coffee pot I have ever had but it is also not too bad. I like that it is programmable and that it is a thermal pot which for me means it can not be broken as easily as a glass pot. I also like that it does not have a warmer so that is one less thing I have to remember to turn off...

It's not suited for me. I normally program my coffeemaker the night before as I go to work at 6:30 AM. It is inconvenient to have to warm it with hot water for 5 minutes before I could even start brewing my coffee. I mean, what's the point of being PROGRAMMABLE?

I liked how quickly the coffee was ready and tasted very good. The thermal pot, however doesn't stay hot as long as I would have liked and it tends to drip when you are pouring the coffee.

We bought the 8 cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker hoping for a durable, dependable product.  After using it for a relatively short amount of time, this product ended up in the trash.  It leaked horribly - and not just during brewing.  It leaked when trying to pour coffee.  From the bottom of the pot.  We tossed it in frustration and will read up on reviews before buying our next coffee maker.

Good quality coffee pot!

This coffee pot will never break like the glass ones- however it is a little hard to clean.

Do not invest in this coffee maker. For lack of better words, this coffee pot is a piece of ****. To start, the cap is such a pain to take off and on (twist cap) and it leaks bad from the top of the metal and bottom while pouring, making a mess on the counters always. The coffee stays at a mediocre temp (we love our coffee hot) and we're always complaining and cursing at it--not a good way to start the morning. LOL.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. To boot, this was a little more on the pricey side. We thought we invested on a good appliance, yet we're kicking ourselfs for spending more than 5 bucks in...

Looks Good, but does it work good

I bought this coffee pot for my parents. I set it up for them that night. My mother calls me the next morning.....coffee is going all over her cabinet from the filter chamber. When I got over there to look at it, you have to have the pot under the spout exactly right, to a T, or it will not go in the pot and will spill all over the counter. I am taking it back today. I do love the size and looks of it though.

Waste of hard earned money

We drink one pot in the morning. This leaky Chinese made poor excuse for a 40 dollar coffee maker ******* out after 4 months. The programer is useless unless you like luke warm coffee. The lid aggravates my tendonitis. I could kick myself for ever buying this thing. It just stops halfway thru the brewing cycle and has to be restarted 3 or 4 times to make a pot. I took it apart and the plastic check valve sticks and will not allow water to flow into the heating element any longer. Its not dirty it just does'nt work. Poorly designed and made with inferior parts.

Love it!!

This is a great coffeemaker and I am "very" particular about my coffee. I am puzzled by some of the reviews on here and I did read them before my purchase. The lid is particular and has to go on exactly right to prevent spillovers but it is very easy to figure out that the arrow on the lid needs to be mounted at the 9 o'clock position and turned to the right back to the 6 o'clock position where it aligns correctly. The stainless carafe "Does Not" taste like metal!! I prewarm the carafe with hot water and use a separate pitcher to put in filtered cool water for the coffee. Of course, this is not... read full review »

Most Annoying

This is the most annoying appliance we've ever owned. With previous pots we made a full pot and transfered hot coffee to a thermal server for use all morning. So when my husband and I saw this Mr. Coffee thermal pot with timer we bought it. The first indication that we made a mistake was the warning -- inside the box-- to heat the pot first. So how do you heat the pot and use the timer overnight? Besides lukewarm coffee, most times the heater turns off before all the water is sucked up and heated. If you make subsequent pots, you must use caution or get a steam burn when raising the reservoir lid.... read full review »

4 stars

brews coffee hot, is ready in the morning, when I set it the night before, and I have never had the coffee run all over the counter. this coffee maker has worked prefectly for a month. stays hot for about 2 hours. the only thing I can say I dont care for is the flavor of the coffee is a little weak or would have given it 5 stars.

not worth it

Like others have said, if the carafe is not seated exactly right, the pot will leak. If the filter slips a little, the pot will leak. The carafe keeps the coofee warm, but without a bottom warmer, the coffee never gets real hot. We're getting rid of this. Not Worth It....

What an improvement

Finally a coffee maker with ease of use that really keeps your coffee hot without having to re-heat it. This coffee maker takes up half of the space my old Mr. Coffee did. I really appreciate the two water level indicators, now it doesn't matter where you put it, you can see what your doing without having to move it around each time. Thank you Mr. Coffee, you must have listened to the previous complaints. I highly recommend this coffee maker, you will enjoy it.

You will love this coffee maker

I bought this coffee maker to replace my Mr. Coffee maker for 12 cups. The 8 cups is actually better. The 12 cup maker always leaked water and the glass carafe eventually broke. The 8 cup carafe is more durable and won't break. I like the settings, because it is exactly what you need and doesn't add features you will never use. We always use fresh ground coffee, with the coffee grinder we also bought from Sears, for the freshest taste. I also bought this coffee maker, because Consumer Reports recommended it as the best price for the quality and they are exactly right. Our family couldn't... read full review »
