I originally bought a Nintendo DSi for my 12 year old son. After playing his though, I was hooked and had to have one for myself! This system is wonderful! Nintendo has a great variety of games for DSi, the majority of which are completely appropriate for kids. I love the nintendo product for that fact, because so many game systems have games that I would never allow my kids to play. Now, the great things about this game system.
Durable. My 4 year old plays mine all the time. He has dropped it, sat on it, kicked it. you name it, he has done it. And the game continues to work wonderfully.

love it, love it!! I bought this for myself because I am always fighting with my daughter to use hers! I love the size of the screen and how its compact enough to fit in my purse.
Originally, my friends conned me into buying this, b/c I was the only one in our group that didn't have one. I ended up with pink because it was the only color not taken by any of them (but soon purchased a slim black case for it)
Truth be told, I don't know what i would do without it!! And unlike some other reviews, i think the camera is GREAT for what it is. Excelent for a quick shot when you're out and about. Special moments don't always wait for HD!
Also, a decent amount of great games are available, and FREE internet. On which you can download FREE apps/games, and opt to pay for others....
read full review »This product is a lot of fun and can be educational. You can experiment with pictures and sounds. In addition to having fun with games, there are many education cartridges and also ones to help you be more organized. You can view the internet by having wifi hooked up.
I would recommend this to anyone of any age.
I was first very iffy about the new DSi, with everything it said it could do. I always said with cellphones i just want it to make calls, i had the same thought about the DS. i just wanted it to play games. But i got a great deal on this, so i said what the hey. Before i even put any games in to it check out the screen, i played for over and hour with the camera, flipnotes, sounds and the apps you can download. The internet isnt as great as youd hope for, but you cant expect it to load and work as great as a home computer. I just ordered the cleaning kit and case to match the pink. Also the Matte...
read full review »My friend has this game and it is a waist of money! I wanted one because they looked cool, but the camara is bad quality and you half to pay for the internet. Also, the internet goes really slow. It is just like the regular nintendo ds lite only it is more expensive (i wont waist so much money on that). Only that this has a horrible camara and a expensive, slow internet. I would not recomend this at all!
This is a great product with lots of additional feautures that kids enjoy. Keeps them entertained all day!
My daughter loves her dsi! She never complains going on car trips anymore! it is also easy enough for my 3 year old to use so this christmas he is going to get his own!!!!~
I bought this for my 8 year son for his birthday and it was a great small investment. This is very easy to use and the games are reasonably priced. Long car trips are no longer a drag b/c he just pops one of the many games inside and its hours and hours of fun!! There are many games to choose from. K-mart offers this at a good price:)
it was ok, the internet was slow, the camera is very very bad, and if you have the ds lite, stay with it! I have the ds lite and i love it, but the dsi wasn't what i thought it would be. The dsi also cannot play gameboy games. So, if i were you, try the 3ds or stick with the ds lite.
My daughter loves drawing things, changing people voices and even taking pics of people and changing their appearance. This is a fun game for all ages.
