We had a friend who is a major gamer help with it and she even said it took her awhile to figure it out. but once you get through the beggining it's enjoyable... They have learned how to care for a pet and how to manage the money that they earn in the game. It has been fun watching them interact with the computerized pet. I recommend this game highly.... My daughter loves this game. The only downfall I have is that it can take a very long time and a lot of repetition to teach the dog it's name. My daughter has gotten frustrated with that and turned the game off, of course goes back a day later and is playing like a champ. Love the game!... I wouldn't of believed it but she actually is more gentlier to our 3 dogs and understands what it takes in the caring for them. I would recomend this for any animal lover...
