NordicTrack E5 vi Elliptical Trainer —
I spent an awful lot of time researching elliptical machines. The search was overwhelming. I went to many stores to try various different styles and brands. When I stepped on this particular machine in the sears showroom, I instantly knew that this elliptical was made for me. My husband and I took it home that night and the 2 of us had it assembled in less than 2 hours. The directions were very clear and all the parts and tools were labeled accordingly. We did not need any extra tools. It did not come with batteries but I did not care because I spent an additional $19.99 on a power adapter. The cool aire fan works great, it has a high and low setting. The Ipod capability is real nice and the speakers were quite loud. The machine makes a quiet sound when pedaling forward and there is no sound when you pedal backwards. It has a couple of nice workout programs and I also enjoy the calorie program when I have a certain calorie goal in mind. The screen is easy to follow, read, and very bright. The buttons are big and easy to push. It has stationary handlebars for heart rate and also has the additional handlebars for working the upper body. The cup holder is huge and will hold many different size sports bottles. My favorite feature is the ability to adjust the stride length. There are 3 of us in my household who use this machine, and we are all different heights. My husband uses the 18" stride length since he is the tallest at 6' tall. I use the 15" stride length, (I am 5'6") and my mother uses the 13" stride length since she is a little over 5' tall. It is extremely easy to adjust. This elliptical is also a space saver machine and it is very easy to fold up. 2 very strong magnets hold up the legs and the base folds inward. Overall I am quite happy with my decision and I use this machine everyday.
