SEARS REBATES ARE A BIG SCAM!!

I AM
Every day computer user, a busy person, Open-minded, a pet owner
Cons
Will not fulfill rebate, They know how to give you the run-around, They can't speak english, they are scammers

On Rebate —

I'm so frustrated with sears right now. I purchased a bed in the beginning of February and was supposed to receive a rebate for $75. I waited 48 hours and registered online. It's been 4 months and I still haven't received anything. Everytime I call the sears rebate center, I speak with a person who can barely speak english and can't understand me, I can't understand them either. This is after I wait on hold for over an hour. I have never seen such poor customer service. I'm so surprised that Sears would treat their customers this way. After investigating online, many others have been through the same thing. It's some sort of scam. Sears rebate wants you to fight for the money, hoping that you'll give up and they get to keep it. Even if they do eventually send it they've made $$$ off the interest of holding your money for so long. I am so disappointed in this company. This will be the LAST big purchase I make from this store.

They pulled this rebate *********** me six years ago and I have never set foot in Sears since then. I cut up my Sears card. They deliberately make the rebate process confusing with frequent expiration dates and multiple dates on the receipt. The people working at the rebate center are either complete idiots or trained to act like morons. Eventually you just give up. It worked for Sears - they made an extra $60. But since then I have bought electronics and appliances elsewhere and I tell people to avoid them like the plague.

You thinks thats bad?! I purchased my washer and dryer LAST NOVEMBER!!!! And nothing from them. I didn't get a rebate. But the system says I did. So I called them to ask what happened they said they would research it to see if it has been spent. But I NEVER heard from them again. I will make one last attempt today. But, If I don't hear the right answer. Not only will I NEVER shop there again, NEITHER will my friends.

I purchased $14k in Electrolux appliances and the rebate, at best was $400 for a few of the items. Due to an error it was initially denied but I submitted additional documentation and then they played the card, oh, but now you are outside the offer timeline. DONE, DONE, DONE.
I've called the San Francisco Bar Association today and got a referral for a Consumer lawyer. Let's do a Class Action on these guys. Only way they will get the message is to make it hurt the wallet.

Yes. It is a scam. I totally agree with you. I have not received and made several attempts to talk with CSR but no phone number. However, I received response saying that I have not qualified but they did not give me the reason. I told them i have all the copies can fax them. She said no..

Five months after filling out the rebate online and getting the "in process" message, I have not received my rebate. When I called, an Indian guy named "Peggy" tells me I do not qualify. Class action lawsuit is LONG overdue!!!
