I want to get a new microwave as the old one quit working, but we can NOT figure out how to get the old one down. I have removed bolts from the top, screws from underneath - it's stuck up there! I even moved my stove for fear it would just come crashing down....any ideas? Yes, I know, we are not handy....

if its a whirlpool of kenmore starting 665 remove the vent grill and the top and look one the left side (some of them had a safety catch) and there maybe a crome wire about the size of a coat hanger going up and down. support the microwave and pull out on the release and this disengages the safety catch. hope that helps
