“This is a great TV! ”

After much research, I decided to purchase the Panasonic Plasma TV.  I was initially going to purchase the 42"; however, I got a great deal from Sears on the 50".  I could not pass it up!  This is a great television!  The set-up was easy.  The picture is amazing and sound is very good.  I have not had any issues with this television.  I would buy this again and recommend to a friend.

“Good but not great.”

The television is a great item for the price. However, if you are looking for the best picture quality possible this is not the TV and you are going to spend well above $800. The TV is not as bright as an LCD. I also live with the fear of "burn-in". The overall picture quality with an HD signal is pretty good and the viewing angle is great. You can actually sit right under the TV with and still get a nice view.

“You cannot find a better value anywhere for a 50" TV”

 Wow! Just like most other reviewers I researched TV's until I was blue in the face. I just wanted a large screen with a great picture and that is what I got. 720p vs 1080p - what a bunch of high tech nonsense. You cannot tell the difference unless you have the eyes of an eagle and stand or sit very close. Who does that?

Want a great TV for less than $800? Go shop til you drop and then go buy this Panasonic or better than that, save the all the time and trouble, trust all the good reviews on Sears, ******** and ****** and just go get one for yourself. The picture is outstanding and the colors...

“Can't Go Wrong”

This is my second Panasonic 50" plasma. Since this one was going in the game room for the kids I saved money and got the 720p. I must admit this is an incredible piece of technology for the money. The picture is fantastic and the service from Sears exceeded expectations in every way. They delivered next day, hauled my old projection TV away and were very professional. Panasonic makes a great TV and you simply cannot go wrong with this plasma.

“Awesome!!”

This 50' plasma is great! It was so easy to set up, with no hassles. The picture and the sound are great. It took me a few weeks to decide going back and forth with several brands, and I have to say I am very happy with the Panasonic. I would recommend this plasma television to anyone whom is looking for a great t.v. For the price it is a steal!!

“Still awesome after FOUR years!”

We bought the 2005 version of this TV.  Back then it was $3200, and now it's under $800!  Sheesh!!!  After 4 years, it still looks wonderful, better than many new 1080p LCDs, and we've not had a single hiccup or bit of burn-in.  A few points for those considering this TV:

1) This is considered a 720p TV, although it's really 768p (1366 x 768 pixels), but beyond about 8 feet from a 50" TV, your eyes probably don't have the resolving power to see the difference between it and a 1080p.  The only reason I could see spending twice as much for 1080p is if you are hooking up a computer and planning...

“WOW, Excellent BUY”

It took me awhile to find the proper tv... i was in the market for a 42", and accidentally crossed this 50". I was shocked that the TV was on sale for such a low price. But after looking into other reviews, i decided that the TV was right for me. The picture is excellent, and i was thrilled with the sound. 720p for a 50" sitting about 10 - 15 feet away is just like a 1080. Panasonic really delivered on an inexpensive high quality product. We are very happy with the purchase and very happy about the quality picture/Sound.

“Great buy on an awesome Flat Panel.”

I was skeptical about buying a 720p Flat Panel, but I have to say, I am very impressed with the picture quality.  I am very picky about my electronics and this TV absolutely blows my mind with its picture quality.  Very happy with this purchase.  I have owned this TV for about a month, have it hooked up to HD Satellite and a BLURAY Player.

“Panasonic TC-PX-1”

After too much research and too many trips to the stores I grabbed one last Saturday with a little apprehension after reading some reviews about the dimness of this set compared to others. I also noticed the dimness myself but the store display is completely different than the in home experience. They have them in torch mode which IMHO does not work well in the home unless maybe you have a room full of windows. “Less than six months use”

Purchased in December 08. Not happy with the picture until I upgraded to HD service with my satellite provider. Worked well for almost six months until it went dead. Called Panasonic got a case number and had the tv fixed within two days, serviced in my home. In case the repair man could not fix the problem, he had a loaner tv in his truck for me to use. Talk about service, I don't know of any other tv manufacturer that offers that kind of warranty service. Will buy Panasonic again!

“Picture setting”

Would anyone post the complete picture setting for this plasma. I just bought it yesterday and there is too much red in the factory setting. I like to adjust it but no idea which settings. Please help . I have only regular cable connection. Thanks.

“Great TV”

I could not be happier...excellent picture, great sound! There are no glares, even with the curtains drawn. You can see the picture clearly from the sides of the room, standing up, or laying on the floor. Great TV for the money...no regrets.

“You can't go wrong with this TV”

After far too much research, I chose the Panasonic TC-P50X1 for its superior performance and excellent value. The picture is great, sound is quite good, and *average* power consumption is lower than most LCDs (a popular misconception). To me, LCDs look a bit harsh and unnatural, especially on skin tones, and they blur when the image is in motion. Not so with this plasma. It's also more than bright enough in a home environment (35-40% brightness setting is plenty). Don't fall for the overly bright LCDs in the store. “Awesome TV”

I have had this tv for several months now, and I am so glad that I purchased it because I feel I'm at the movie theater, since the picture quality is that good. The sound system is also very good where you really don't need to buy any sound system. Overall, this TV will keep money in your pocket with the savings and at the same time give you quality viewing.

“5 stars”

I had the 2007 42in 720p and I just upgraded to the 2009 50x1. I am so glad I sold my 42 and got this tv it looks so much better than my other tv which i bought a little over a year ago and paid 100 less than this tv costs. The tv looks much brighter and better in my house than in the store. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a great tv and is on a budget.
