“Panasonic 54G10”

Panasonic - VIERA 54 in. (Diagonal) Class 1080p 600Hz Plasma HD Television — 

I've had the 54" G10 for about a month now. I agonized going back and forth on this purchase for weeks from the Samsung 58B650 or this 54 G10. The reasons I went with the pani are as follows: 1. Reliablilty, the Samsung ran much hotter in the store. The G10 was cooler. I also believe the transformer is better in the G10 since it is very quiet. The Samsung sometimes has problems with buzz, so I don't like to buy problems. I've had zero problems so far. 2. Price was significantly better than the Samsung. 3. Size, the 54" is plenty big for my need. 4. Although the picture of the Samsung looked a little more clear in the store, I believe the source was the issue. The pani is very clear at home if you get a good 1080I souce and crystal clear at 1080P. Also the Samsungs colors looked oversaturated and little cartoonish to me. The G10 looks very natural. 5. I thought the speaker sound was slightly better from the G10 since they fire down rather than back in the wall like the sami. Both the B650 and G10 are great TVs but I went with the G10 based on the above. good luck.
