We just got this for our family as a family entertainment system and I can say that I am extremely satisfied. The graphics are gourgeous and we are very pleased with the design and functionality. My only complaint is the price tag which is a little high especially compared to its counterpart competition....

Most Helpful Critical Review

The PS3 has one good aspect going for it. That is the blue ray player. Besides that the Xbox 360 excels in every factor. Online gaming is garbage on the PS3. No one has a microphone to talk because it costs $40 extra to buy one when you can get a free one buying a 360. The game selection is small compared...

I like the look of the Playstation 3-PS3 its a well made machine,  It looks Great, It matches my Computer, Printer, and Monitor it makes my system look complete.  I like what all the other reviewers have to say about this product and I like all the things you can do with the Playstation I can't wait to get on it and play a game. If you like to play games this is the machine for you.  So don't wait go down and get one for yourself you will love it.

THE PS3 SLIMS DOWN

It's here! The long awaited PS3 slim (and the even longer awaited price cut) is available on department store shelves and online. As with the PS2, Sony has managed to draw new hype by reissuing the same console in a smaller, sleeker package and knocking one hundred dollars off the price tag. Will this concept finally boost slumping PS3 sales? Only time will tell, however ****** is currently limiting the amount of PS3 sales to one per household, much like the Nintendo Wii when it was introduced. A strong indication that the website is expecting the newly designed model to be snatched up faster than...

Great system with many uses

When choosing between the PS3 and Xbox 360, I found the PS3 to be a much better value. It has built in wireless, the playstation network is free to access and use, it serves as a Bluray player, and it has wireless controllers that charge from the system. The PS3 exclusive games are great, like God of War 3 or Little Big Planet. We also use our PS3 to stream Netflix instantly, buy old Playstation games to play, play demos of games we may buy, and watch DVD/Blurays. I highly recommend this system over the Xbox 360 since so many of the add-ons to that system come free with the PS3. Have fun!

I really like my new PS3.  This is the second one in my house now.  I just want to find a good track and field game.

We have had our PS3 for about a year now and we have not had one complaint.  The commercials are absolutely true, this system just does EVERYTHING!  Of course, my husband and my sons enjoy playing their video games on it due to the exceptional graphics and assortment of games.  The online play feature truly is amazing plus joining the Playstation Network is free, not like the competitor who charges you to have online access!  We recently purchased a new printer and were able to wirelessly connect it to our PS3 so now I can download pictures to the PS3 and print them.  There are so many...

Technology is amazing.

I started off with the NES system, evolved to Super Nintendo, and at the apex of my nerdiness had both the PlayStation I and the N64 console. Some time elapsed in between and I completely missed out on the 2nd generation of gaming consoles: PlayStation 2 and XBox.

I purchased a PS3 recently and some of the technological improvements from 1st generation to 3rd generation are jaw-dropping. I'll let the fans get into the tech specifications but I don't think 10 years ago, people could have dreamed of video games being so life-like and detail oriented.

One drawback to the PS3 is you MUST get an HDTV...

I feel that PS3 is the smart choice when it comes to game systems.  Free online gameplay, amazing Blu-ray player, and the best graphics are just a few reasons why this system is the one I would recommend.  With the PS3 you don't just get something to play games on; you get a top-notch entertainment system.  One look at the PS3 and its easy to tell that it means business.
