I love playing games, esp solitaire games. I'm not much for playing with other people. I discovered Pogo about 3 years ago. They had a TON of games you could play, most of them for free. I liked the fact that you could play solo and not talk to anyone. But if you are in the mood to chat, every game has a chat feature and you can chat with the other players while you are playing your game.
There are games for just about any interest you may have. There are card games, board games, word games, puzzle games, casino type games, arcade and sports games.
What addicted me was the fact that if you paid to become a member, you could earn badges. It's $39.99 a year to join but well worth the money. I know getting badges is not like winning anything tangible, but its FUN! You can also win money though if you are lucky enough to win the jackpot. I have known people who have won so it IS possible to win. You can even win smaller prizes like hats and tshirts and mugs and stuff. You earn points in all the games also and you can use those points to earn daily and weekly drawings. Or you can do like me and just rack them up.
You also get an avatar or as they call it... a "mini." It is a little person that you can customize any way you want. You can make him/her look like you, or like who you want to be, or just be crazy. You can change them as often as you like also.
I don't think as many of the games are free like they used to be. But if you haven't tried Pogo yet, get a free acct and check it out. Pogo is great for kids too. None of the games are violent or have anything bad in them. My 12 yr old son LOVES pogo and he's been playing the games since I first got on too.
