Portillo's - Chicago Area, IL Review

Hands down, the best fast food restaurant in Chicago! Here is a little background from the website:

"Welcome to Portillo's Hot Dogs, Inc., started in 1963 by Dick Portillo in a small trailer and soon will be operating 48 units. His dedication to serving "the best food" and "the best service" available will make it worth your visit. Requests for his "type" of food and "service" are received daily at the corporate office from many of the 50 states (including Alaska) and many foreign countries."

Portillo's offers a great selection of high quality items for a quick service restaurant. You can get your usual fare of italian beef, burgers, chicken sandwiches & salads. However, I highly recommend their award winning italian beef sandwiches and ribs. Yes, they have excellent ribs! Also, the chocolate cake is pretty serious! 

A unique feature of Portillo's is each restaurant is different, representing themes from the 20's through 60's. It's definitely a visual treat.

If you want to visit a true Chicago iconic restaurant, then Portillo's is your fast food place!
