“A person who speaks and understands english should answer phone!”
FIrst and foremost - the phone should never be answered "What is your phone number please". Even if I am calling to make an appointment at the portrait studio. Second, I could not find out if my appointment time was available until I gave my phone, name and zipcode. Third, a person who speaks english clearly, but more importantly UNDERSTANDS english should be answering the phone. It took six times to spell my rather simple name correctly. I could not get her name, because her name was not a part of the "script" she read through. This is not polite. This is not professional. This is just down right frustrating and unprofessional.
