I bought this yesterday specifically to cook wings for a Halloween party. I was able to cook 10lbs of wings in 3 batches so this does cook over 3 lbs of food at once. The wings came out great. I don't use a timer when I cook wings, I work by sight and color of the food, so the strong but light lid is a plus. It was a snap to clean too. While it did take a while to heat the first time, it did seen to maintain heat well after that and so I will put that down to first time use.
Overall a good buy and great value for money with other fryers of this capacity running upwards of $100.
Awesome fryer. Very easy to use and clean.
Has a lid to cover the grease if you want to save it and use again.
Has 2 baskets for cooking several items at once.
I bought this in the Sears store, I needed a double size for Making Elephants ears for our community fair. it works great. in fact so good we went out and bought a second one for next year.
We like to fry fish in a batter and used another brand fryer for a few years. That product did not maintain the heat needed to fry satisfactorily. This new fryer comes up to heat fast and maintains the heat to fry successfully. It is easy to clean and the baskets are easy to clean. Good product. Thank you Sears for carrying quality merchandise at budget conscious prices.

Absolutely great. Saves time and are able to cook as much or little as you want. The food tastes great.
I have had mine for a while now, I use it few times a week, and have yet to notice anything I don't like about it. It is a definite must-have.
I am so excited that I finally purchased this deep fryer. I have been looking for along time for this. Its very unique because I can cook two things at the same time. Also, can use it for steaming and boiling.
One month ago on military appreciation day I purchased a Presto Dual Basket ProFry. I have now used it six times and am happy to report that it is an outstanding product that you can do your very besto in deep fat frying foods. I have cooked fried chicken, fried catfish, home made french fries, fried shrimp, and battered pork cutlets for sandwiches in this great deep fat fryer. read full review »i have wasted many years uisng conventional frying pans to fry my chicken; i fry large amounts at times and it's a very time consuming tiring job to fry large amounts; cleaning up is never fun either. the presto 12-cup deep fryer relieves me from all those troubles. I can't belive the ease at which the fryer operates; you just pour the oil in, wait for the indicator light to go on/off & "presto", it's ready to fry until you don't want it to fry anymore.

This is a practical gift for some one who has a family of four or more. This fryer features a double basket. Which can help when you need to fry two kinds of food for those picky eaters we live with.
