Growing up we never had a waffle maker but I loved waffles. We had our store bought Eggo waffles and figured that's how waffles taste like and it was good enough for me. This waffle maker makes great waffles and is very easy to use. Each waffle takes about 3-4 minutes to cook, and you only need a small brush and/or damp cloth to clean afterwards.
I was using a regular plastic Belgian waffle maker and my friend loaned me her new Presto Flipside Belgian waffle maker. Wow! What a difference it made! I used a Belgian waffle store-bought mix and the waffles were so much thicker and lighter than from my old waffle maker. I was very impressed with the short cook time and the crispness of the waffles. I also used the recipe in the instructions. I've been making waffles almost every Sunday now and hoping my friend won't ask for it back soon.
