Pretender - The Complete First Season —
The Pretender is a great tv show with one of the best concepts out there. Jarod is a genius who "pretends" to be anybody he wants to be, doctor, race car driver, policeman etc.
The story telling, characters, including the antagonists are all great. Most episodes stick to some similar format where the Pretender uses his intelligence to outsmart and get revenge on the bad guys with the Centre(evil corporation) chasing them down.
The first season, especially, is great since after a few seasons the formula gets tiring and they never had an actual finale. On the matter of whether or not you should buy the DVD I would say it's a great show. But it's free on Hulu right now so it might be worth your money. The show is one that is worth repeat viewing especially a few specific and great episodes. It's a shame the TV show was canceled.
