The Pretender is a great tv show with one of the best concepts out there. Jarod is a genius who "pretends" to be anybody he wants to be, doctor, race car driver, policeman etc.
The story telling, characters, including the antagonists are all great. Most episodes stick to some similar format where the Pretender uses his intelligence to outsmart and get revenge on the bad guys with the Centre(evil corporation) chasing them down.
The first season, especially, is great since after a few seasons the formula gets tiring and they never had an actual finale. On the matter of whether or not you should buy...

i really like watching this tv series. as soon as i heard that it was out on dvd i bought it. it's just a really good show to watch.
I Love this TV Series and have loved it every since it first came out. When I heard that it was going to be on DVD, the first place that I went to check was K-Mart and yes they had it and at a reasonable price.
A guy who is trying to find out about his past while helping others. So much more but hard to put in a review. If you've never seen it before try it. It was one of the best series. Suspenseful and emotional all at the same time.
