My wife and I were able to assemble the bike very easily using my own hand tools. We did'nt try the tools that came with the bike. We were both impressed with the smoothness and how quiet it is. We both use it two times a day and have had no problems in the approximately one month we've owned it. The... review »

I bought the bike in the begining of Jan 09. April 15th it died. It started making a horrible grinding sound. And uh-oh, it's beyond the 90 warranty. The cost to have a repair man look at this would exceed the cost of a new bike. So I looked into the problem myself. The magnetic fly wheel assembly... review »

I have used exercise bikes for years. I bought this one for a friend and took about 2 hours to unpack, carry piece by piece upstairs, and to assemble. Very well built and definitely should wait for the sale price of 299 (reg. 399) it goes on and off sale continuously. So far so good, hopefully it lasts.

Bought the bike yesterday, had it together in no time. We both did a workout. Rides nice and smooth. Product is quiet. The only thing I felt should be included is an adapter.

So far this bike has been a very good value compared to the cost of other cycles in the low-end of the market. It is very comfortable, the controls are easy to use, and it has a good variety of programs. I also like the fact that you can run it on either batteries or a power adapter (neither included with the purchase though). Oh, and it is quiet enough to watch TV while you ride without turning the volume up beyond normal level. The resistance levels cover a nice range too. I've only had the bike for a week so I can't comment on the longevity yet. It was easy to assemble pretty much by myself.... review »

i bought this bike before x-mas 2008 and it's june 2009 and i am still on the same set of batteries i first put in it and i use it 4-6 times a week.it is very comfortable . it provides as many different workouts as anyone would need especially if you get an ifit card. i got the first 1 now i program my own workouts.i have lost 30 lbs since i started using it.the calorie counter is wrong.you need to go on the internet and google a site that takes your age, weight, height and workout speed and length of workout for stationary bikes to get a true calorie burn reading. the one on the bike display is... review »

I bought this bike as a Christmas present to myself and have been very pleased thus far. I tried a handful of rebumbents at several stores and this one was the best fit for my body. I assembled it in about two hours with minimal trouble - and I am NOT a master assembler by any means. Like other reviewers, I was disappointed that the bike didn't come with a power adapter - you spend $300+ on a bike and they can't throw in a $20 adapter or at least four D batteries? I'll be sending a complaint email about that. :) Regardless, after purchasing the adapter and using the bike, I was impressed with... review »

I purchased this bike last week and love it. It is packaged well and the part are labeled which make them easy to find. I hvae no mechanical ability at all and it took me about 2 hours to put it together. Two people would could that time in half. It rides real nice and does not make a lot of noise. It appears to be a good value for the money. I only wish I would hvae bought the AC adaptor for it so I didn't have to go back to the store. I think this investment will last for years. I also bought the protection plan for it to cover anything the manufactures warranty won't cover.

I purchased this bike 2 weeks ago and I love it. I am having knee surgery soon and need this bike for recovery and to have for exersize. We put this together in about a half hour. I am able to ride this bike while watching tv, it is so quiet. The only down fall is that it does not come with the power cord, this can be purchased at discount stores relativly cheap. I would definatly recommend this item to anyone. If you are reading my review, know that I am extremely picky about getting a good product for the money. This is definatly worth the money. 100% satisfied.

Seems to be a good piece of equipment but was very annoyed when I was putting it together. Most of the way through the assembly, the instructions indicate that the needed batteries were not included. "No sweat. It also has a hookup for a DC power adapter. I just need to find it in the packaging." It was later that I found a coupon in with the paperwork indicating that if I wanted to save money by not using batteries, I could go to Sears.com and purchase the DC adapter for $20. I've bought rechargable flood lights for half that amount and they came with a DC adapter. Why wouldn't a $300 piece of... review »

I tested it in the showroom and it felt fine with a substantial flywheel and smooth pedaling action. Bought it. At my leisurely pace, I assembled the bike in about 1.5 hours. ProForm deserves praise for the secure packaging and excellent assembly directions. Although the instructions call for two people, I managed quite well alone. Absolutely no parts were missing and everything fit very well. The action of the bike is smooth and sweet. The dial controlling the pedaling resistance works very well and is ergonomic. The bike requires either four D batteries to operate the resistance and display... review »

This is a good bike for the money. Putting it together definitely required 2-3 people. the "bike" part of it works well - the "console" part is a different story. 3 days after assembly, the console stopped functioning properly. It stops timing the workout every 5 seconds, then you have to push start and it goes for 5 more seconds, then push start and get 5 more seconds, and on and on..... Very frustrating. Haven't called Sears repair yet, but will, and hope they keep their promise of in-home repairs - especially since only have used bike less than one week.

Picked up excerciser in Sears pickup area, after ordering the product it took about three weeks but we were in no hurry, service in pickup area was real fast and helpful with loading the product. When I unboxed the excerciser it was packed really good, you could tell there was some care when packing and ensuring all parts were there, all screws, bolts and hareware were wraped and marked well. Instructions were easy to understand for me but I payed close attention to instuctions when assembling and greased all bolts and wiped of excess grease this made the bolts go in much easier. Excerciser is solid... review »

The bike is well built and runs very smooth. But I ended up returning the unit because the resistance was simply not high enough. It goes up to level 10, which is obviously not easy, but not really challenging either. I feel that the MAX level for any bike should be very hard otherwise after daily use you will lose that ability to really push yourself. I ended up buying a Schwinn S23 which costs more money, but had a MUCH higher resistance level. The pro-form is a great bike for someone who is maybe not in the best shape, or may be a little older in age. But if you are looking for a challenge... review »

I loved the packaging-- obviously ProForm spent a lot of time packing and ensuring all would be easy to find. Everything was labeled well and directions were easy to follow. I put this together by myself-- it would have been nice to have someone with muscle help me get it out of my car but I managed. Well why, you might wonder, if everything was so wonderful, are you waiting to use the bike? Because the left pedal-- the last darn thing to put on the bike, was not properly threaded. Will have to call Sears tomorrow and find out how they are going to take care of that for me. I really don't want... review »
