“good for the price!!”

I got a deal and only paid $150 for mine new.  It does make a lot of noise if you are going at it pretty hard.  I weigh about 180, but my wife is about 140 and it makes a lot less noise with her.  I use it 2 times a day and she uses it 1-2 times a day.  The squeeking can be easily fixed...the metal...

“Returned it after 5 months”

The machine was good for the first month, although it made a lot of noise. After a month it broke, Sears sent someone to fix it. “LOVE it!”

I absolutely love this elliptical! Bought it to help me lose my baby weight and couldn't have made a better decision. I bought mine about a month ago and am extremely pleased so far. It's VERY quiet, which is important to a mom with a new baby. Also feels very sturdy and not at all wobbly like some other reviewers reported. It was relatively easy to put together - took a little over an hour. The only reason I didn't give it full marks is that the fan is completely useless if you're short - which I am.

“good workout, good price”

I have had my elliptical for about 2 weeks after much research into them and trying several out in the stores. I love it, it is a great workout. It did take several hours and 2 people to put together, which should be expected of any good piece of exercise equipment. A couple of the holes were too small to fit the screws provided so i would make sure to have extra tools around. I think the price is great, it is quiet, and i burn a good amount of calories fairly quick. The only complaint i have is i wish the fan was adjustable. “Good Buy!”

I have been using my elliptical 6 days a week for a little over a month now. It took me a couple of hours to assemble it when I purchased it and the instruction were easy to understand. I like the workout it gives me and I love that it doesn't take up much space. The only complaint I have is it has started to make a loud noise when I use it. Its not intolerable just a nuisance.

“If you really plan to use it, buy something else”

I have had this product for a month, and I use it twice a day on the 30 minute workout programs. I paid $200.00 for it, and even that was too much. It is worth $50.00. If I had to buy an elliptical again, I would never buy this one. It has been nothing but trouble. Like a person said in another review, the handles really shake on the upper shaft until finally they broke both off both the grey circles at the ends and the screws worked themselves out. I had to go to the hardware store and buy things to fix both sides so I could even use it. It is also very unstable and shakey when you are on it.... read full review »

“xp 420”

After about a week got noisy, handle bars clanked back and forth during use...had to start adding shims to take up slack which also made the noise from big wheel much less. Working fairly good and quite now since I repaired the slack in the upper shaft for the handle bars. Ended up using 3/16" gaskets made of teflon and installed on the inner side of handle bars next to the stationary riser (frame) Still think it was worth the price!!

“it's very good.”

"I just got this and love it!! Very quiet, does not take up much room ! I went to many store to look around. Most of machine are too big and expensive. I paid $ 199 + tax and also extra $30 for assemble to my friends. But it was a good deal. I don't have any issues or troubles, It is a great machine for the $$.. I would recomend this and have no regrets in purchasing it.

“quite good”

We bought ours, got it home and took it out of the box. I decided to move the "handles", if you will, to see if it make a noise like a lot of people complained about, low and behold it did, so I took the plastic cover off of it to see what was making the racket. Turned the wheel again it made a ticking noise and the belt came off after rolling it backwards. The plastic peice holding the magnet was rubbing on the inside of the big wheel and the rollers for the belt were not lined up. “Excellent Machine”

I've had my machine for about 5 months now. Still quiet as a mouse and lost 32 pounds and my legs look great. I've tried a lot of machines in the store before I bought this one. They were not as smooth and was noisy. I had to turn up my tv. I love my exerciser. I use it faithfully for about 40 minutes every day.

“Excellent Product”

I am very pleased with my elliptical trainer. My 15 year old son put it together in about two hours. It works great and no loud noise like some of the other complaints.

“not sure yet about my level of dissappointment”

I only used my elliptical 3 times and my machine locked up. Luckily I only had my machine about 2 weeks so I was still covered under my 90 day warranty I had to wait 2 weeks for a repair guy and parts to arrive before it was fixed. I am hoping no other problems will occur. Other than that, I do like my machine it really gives you a workout. Good choice would be to purchase the extended warranty.

“1 star”

I purchased this elliptical approximately a year ago. I had it assembled in the shop. I'm glad I purchased the extended warranty as it broke down on me shortly after the 90 day warranty had expired. In reviewing other comments at this site, I echo the sentiments of those who are frustrated with the constant clunking, sqeeking and other noises...not to mention the fact that I have had this product repaired at least 4 times. I am waiting for the Sear's repairman to make yet another trip out here next week. Generally after they solve the problem, the noise returns within a month or so and eventually... read full review »

“Quality lacks”

After three weeks of daily use the plastic axle covers cracked and fell off on the left side. Heat build up from use seems to be the problem, I replaced them with metal flat washers, will see how that goes. Not a good value for the money.

“love it!”

bought this for myself & put it together myself (husband is overseas this year) it was a little hard getting the control panel part together...I could have used more upper body strength...lol. but after about 4 hours (I took breaks) I got it together & it works great. its VERY quiet & I find I use it about 4 times a week while watching tv. I'm actually gonna buy one for my mom for Christmas. I've had mine about 6 months now. would make the purchase all over again! :)
