Great Value

I researched other machines and found this bargain. I've had mine for almost a year and have used it 3 days a week for an hour and it has not skipped a beat. The only compliant is the knocking sound it makes. But I usually watch TV or listen to music so it's not too bad. If you want something to burn... read full review »

ProForm Elliptical

I bought a Pro form Elliptical in December of 05, it broke in less than a year. The console started acting crazy and flickering then it failed all together. Without the console working, the whole thing wont operate. I called support on this and they wouldn't warranty it. They just told me I could buy... read full review »

Great Machine

Love it for me and my hubby, who is 6'6'' and still could fit on it. Reliable too.

Compact, quality machine at a great price

I purchased this machine a month ago after reading reviews and comparing to all Elipticals in the $500 range. You MUST try the machines in the store because they all feel different. I kept going back to the Proform XP. I liked the adjustable stride, it makes a difference being able to adjust the stride. It is not too big, we have it in our bedroom and my wife and I work out every day for 20min. It was squeaking a bit on the pedal, but I just tightened the bolts and the squeak went away. I bought this on sale and it was ready in the pick up area within 5 minutes and loaded in the trunk. It takes... read full review »

First Thoughts

I really liked the price of this machine. I am enjoying using it at home very much. However, it wobbles just a bit, but other than that is very sturdy. There are a few noises in the back, maybe ball bearings or something. The fan is nice to have and it is easy to move from room to room. I do not like that it does not measure the distance in mileage. Only in total revolutions. In the manual, it does not help you in the conversion method. The drink holder and adjustment in stride are great features !

Great Buy

My husband bought this for my New years resolution! I LOVE it!!!!! It has worked great for me. I use it 4-5 days a week for 40 mins. I have lost 70 lbs and hopefully more. I have my Elliptical in my garage, so I can still watch my kids. Mine is quite, no problems. It did take a while to put together and you will need two people. Other than that I would tell anybody wanting to lose weight to get this machine. You burn so much more calories than a treadmill.

Love this!!

Not only a great buy but a great machine for an awesome workout. I have looked at others makes and models and found this one to be the sturdiest. I love the preset programs no guess work here, plus it is a smoother gliding machine. I noticed some people were wondering about the power to it. I have tons of chargers at my house from kids with all kinds of toys and I found one that plugs in and works so no more replaceing D batteries. I highly recommend this Elliptical.

Excellent value

I recently bought this eliptical and love it. It definitely requires 2 people to assemble it (one of them strong). I was impressed with how well it was packaged and the instructions were easy to follow. My kids and I have been using it several times a day and it's great. It has a very smooth operation and is perfectly quiet in any of the stride positions! Some of the reviews are terrible, but I think that may have something to do with it not being assembled or greased correctly. Some of the bolts were difficult to get in tightly like they needed to be. I did take out the extra Sears warranty... read full review »

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!!!!

If you buy a cheap machine under 1,000.00 $, purshase the protection agreement period. This is my second machine under a grand. You can purchase a power adaptor from Proform for 25$ with not problems, yes the heart monitor won't work with the power adaptor but I brought my machine for the workout not the heart monitor. The wave washers ( on front pivot axle) do break often on these type of machines so call proform and get extra wave washers you'll need them.My recommendation to SEAR is send out one tech and he stays on it until the problem is fixed,I had three different techs on my first machine problem... read full review »

Great for the price

Bought in January and use it twice daily. So far everything works great I'm sure there are ellipticals with more bells & whistles but for the price, this one delivers. Only thing I wish it had is a holder for a book. I like to read while I work out since it makes the time fly by. As noted in other reviews, the pulse reader doesn't work right all the time.

SQUEAK..SQUEAK..KNOCK...KNOCK

I have had my machine for about a month now, and at first loved it, but now I HATE IT!! Who can work out with an annoying LOUD squeaking coming from the back wheel, and knocking coming from the front?? WD 40 does not fix the problem, I have lubed and oiled-does not help! I will be trying to return this, cannot handle the squeaks and knocks anymore, driving me NUTTY!!

It works

I like the Proform XP 115. I have had it for 6 months. I think it is great for someone who is just getting into an exercise regime. I had someone else put it together for me, but it did not take to long. I find it very easy to use, and so far I haven't had any mechanical difficulties yet. If you are somone who exercises constantly, this machine would not be for you, in that case you should be buying a machine with all the bells and whistles.

Good Workout!

I just bought this elliptical two weeks ago and have used it each day. The workout is amazing. I actually got this model on sale and it is worth the money. The store put it together for me for $40 and I am so glad I had them do it. No complaints yet.

Get what you pay for

I've had this unit for 24 days. Me (180 lbs) and my 11 year old son run this thing at least a half hour every day. It is making a considerable knocking noise, which we can definitely live with. If it stays like this we are ok, I'm just afraid it won't last. We paid $400, and was afraid to spend more because I wasn't (and still aren't) convinced that it won't be ignored for good in a few months. If you are certain you are going to continue to exercise, spend more bucks on a better unit, if not this unit might be good enough. I've been trying for two weeks to contact Proform customer service... read full review »

Elliptical Guru

I got the elliptical for a Christmas gift and its wonderful! It lets me workout from home and I can move it pretty easily when I have company. The elliptical wobbles a little but overall well worth the money.
