Good value

I have had this bike for 9 months. I use it about 5 days a week and 45 minutes a day. This is a very durable bike in my opinion. I like it. The seat can be a little uncomfortable at times, but it's not a big problem for me. The use of battery can be an issue. I change the batteries about every... read full review »

ProForm XP Exercise Bike, XP 70 is a comfortable bike.  ProForm XP Exercise Bike, XP 70 did not last very long though.  The third set of batteries was all it could out last. ProForm XP Exercise Bike, XP 70 $250 bike the console was a $189 repair.  Just sits there now.  Without the console, there's...

Not Impressed

I bought this bike really as a cheap way to determine if I should go for a more expensive model (i.e. am I actually going to use a stationary bike?). I have an extensive background in mountain bike racing and STILL found the seat uncomfortable - and my mountain bike seat is little more than a metal plate with leather wrapped around it. The handlebar post wobbles slightly, which can get annoying after a short period of time and the batteries (as everyone else mentions) are a big no-no. My biggest complaint is the resistance mechanism. The pedals skip a little - almost like it is slipping every... read full review »

Excellent bike, but with a few oversights

I bought this bike just to lose some weight; therefore, I did not want to spend alot of money. I have been using it almost constantly for almost a year and only a couple of problems have surfaced. Firstly, the peddle straps broke repeatedly after a couple weeks of use, but I believe that is due to my cycling pace of ~24-25 mph. This problem is easily fixed with a trip to a bicycle shop and 15 dollars later, instead of ordering from Proform which will set you back 50 dollars. Secondly, the handle bars do not attach tightly to the bicycle and vibrate, but again I do not use them. Various noises... read full review »

INTERESTING PRODUCT

I must say that this is my first owned stationary bike. I completely like it, I just got it yesterday and its pretty easy going, it was easy to assemble and it didn't take more than an hour to put together. The one thing that I must say is that the seat is a bit uncomfortable, however, I'm looking into buying some type of cushion or something, but the bike is overall great and I don't really have any complaints about it.

When buying an exercise bike, be sure to try out all the floor models. Is it strong & sturdy? Is it silent? Comfortable? I have been using different kinds of these bikes for 20 years now, and almost all of them need extra cushioning for the seat, which can easily be improvised with pillows, etc.

The timer would not work on this bike. And after a few months of struggling with and taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together, I called the service center. Of course the warranty had expired and they would have to send someone out to look at it. The cost just to send someone out was nearly half the cost of the bike not to mention how much the replacement part would have cost.

Two years later, the seat adjuster is stripped and does not hold the position you select.

All in all, it was a waste of money. This was not the first stationary bike I purchased; but this was the worse for...

A Solid Purchase

I bought this during a sale so I think the $250 price is a little high, but I have owned this for almost a year with no problems. It was relatively easy to assemble with one person. It does run on batteries only, which I have changed twice in the past year with 3-4 days/week use. Not using the fan will help with your battery life. The console includes 4 programs: two 20-minute, a 30 min, and a 45 min. The last two will give you a fairly solid workout. Adjustable resistance from 0-10. A very quiet machine that sits nicely in the corner of the room. Includes front wheels for moving the bike around.... read full review »

buy the extended service plan, you'll need it!

The out-of-the-box warranty is 90 days. We have now had our bike for 9 months, and the tension motor has gone bad. This is a $70 dollar fix. I would have been wise to buy a bike service plan, or from a company that can gurantee their product for greater than 90 days. What happened to a 1 year guarantee? This is a great bike if you plan to get back in shape on that new 90 day diet and exercise plan, then go about the rest of your life. For those of you who plan to use your bike after the first 90 days I would suggest another company or add another $30-50 to the price to get the service plan.

Good value

I bought this bike 4 months back and its a great value. It does not take up much space either. It allows me to get some exercise everyday. I do this for 20 mins almost every day and had to change the batteries only once last month. So the batteries lasted for around 3 months. Would recommend this to anyone who finds it tough to go to a gym to get regular workouts...

Great while it lasted

Call me crazy, but I expected that this bike would work for at least a year. After about 8 months of light use (once or twice a week), the bike is now broken and it's going to be at least $100 to fix it. I really enjoyed using the bike when it was working, I just wish I had purchased the warrantee.

poor design

This machine eats batteries and the manufacturer does not even offer to sell a transformer with it. Buy a differnet brand with a 110 volt plug or transformer and you'll be better off.
