XP300 Review

ProForm XP Weight Bench, XP300 —

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the XP300. It's not in the same league as equipment you'll find at your local gym, however, it's a good buy for the money and you can get pretty much the same workout plus having the convenience of doing it in your own home. I bought it onsale off of the webiste for $299 and then had to buy 320 lbs worth of free weights for about $100. Assembly can be a little time consuming, but can be done with 1 person, I think it took ~3-4 hours to complete. So far the only complaint I have is that the two guides on the smith machine don't slide as well as they should. On my machine they tend to bind up a little when doing squats as I raise up. If there aren't any weights on the storage racks, sometime it will bind enough where the front end of the frame will come off of the ground. I'm hoping to get some silicone grease to put on the the guide rods and I think that will take care of the problem. Other than that I like everything else, good option for someone who wants to lift but doesn't have time to drive to the gym.
