ProForm XP XP 400R Recumbent Exercise Bike —

I tested it in the showroom and it felt fine with a substantial flywheel and smooth pedaling action. Bought it. At my leisurely pace, I assembled the bike in about 1.5 hours. ProForm deserves praise for the secure packaging and excellent assembly directions. Although the instructions call for two people, I managed quite well alone. Absolutely no parts were missing and everything fit very well. The action of the bike is smooth and sweet. The dial controlling the pedaling resistance works very well and is ergonomic. The bike requires either four D batteries to operate the resistance and display or alternatively you can purchase an AC/DC transformer and run the bike off your house electrical. Both work equally well. This bike is all I wanted plus a number of programmed exercise routines.
