Good value for the money

ProForm XP XP 400R Recumbent Exercise Bike —

So far this bike has been a very good value compared to the cost of other cycles in the low-end of the market. It is very comfortable, the controls are easy to use, and it has a good variety of programs. I also like the fact that you can run it on either batteries or a power adapter (neither included with the purchase though). Oh, and it is quiet enough to watch TV while you ride without turning the volume up beyond normal level. The resistance levels cover a nice range too. I've only had the bike for a week so I can't comment on the longevity yet. It was easy to assemble pretty much by myself. I did ask my wife to hold the controller while I plugged-in the connectors but that was just for convenience. The only negative I've found so far is that one of the factory connections was loose which kept the resistance from operating properly. I pulled off the side panel (9 screws, very easy) to see what was going on and quickly found that the connection was loose. Pushed the plugs together nice and tight and was good to go. Overall I think this bike is a good value. I also seriously considered the Schwinn 202. After messing with them both in the store I figured that the Schwinn was about 10% more comfortable but I liked the controls of the ProFrom better. The price difference was enough to put the ProForm over the top for me (ProForm on sale for $300 and Schwin on sale for $350). Oh, I'm definitely on the short side at 5-6. Ergonomics feel fine for me.
