ProForm XP XP 400R Recumbent Exercise Bike —
Seems to be a good piece of equipment but was very annoyed when I was putting it together. Most of the way through the assembly, the instructions indicate that the needed batteries were not included.
"No sweat. It also has a hookup for a DC power adapter. I just need to find it in the packaging."
It was later that I found a coupon in with the paperwork indicating that if I wanted to save money by not using batteries, I could go to Sears.com and purchase the DC adapter for $20.
I've bought rechargable flood lights for half that amount and they came with a DC adapter. Why wouldn't a $300 piece of equipment?
Needless to say, the joy of bringing home and putting together a new toy with the expectation of being able to use it was replaced with anger that in a small way, I had been taken advantage of.
Also, the salesman at the store was insistant that it came with the beginner iFit cartrige. With that in mind, we bought the next in the series. The salesman was wrong. No cartrige was included.
