ProForm Treadmills —

Back in April 2009 my wife and I purchased a new pro-form 580 XP cross-walk treadmill from our local Sears store in our home town of Minocqua WI.  The reason we chose this brand was from previous experiences with this type of treadmill.  Previously, we had owned a pro-form treadmill for 12 years and didn't have any major problems with it, except for a ripped belt which lead to it's replacement. Another factor which lead us to replace our previous treadmill was the fact that the new one we purchased has a wider belt.  Our previous model only had a 16 inch wide belt and this one is 20 inches, I find that this extra width really adds to the treadmills stability.  I like this treadmill because the incline is very nice and it came with a fan. The cross-walk arms are rather cheaply put together, I ended up just removing those.

My review of the actual treadmill is excellent, I wasn't very happy with the way they delivered my treadmill, they just put in the house and left, they didn't offer to show me anything about the treadmill, I was expecting to get at least the basics on the treadmill's operation.  Granted a treadmill is not hard to operate, but it would have been nice to have them show me all its features before they left.  It was nice though that they did move my old treadmill out to my garage, so that my wife and I wouldn't have to do it.

Thanks for the advice, I will get some silicon oil, I am sure that after a while, the treadmill will
need some.

Free assembly? For maintenance try to get the silicon oil for lubricating the board under the belt. Ikon sells an accessory kit online and Sears Parts may still offer lubricant.
