The ice maker bucket in my Kenmore side by side keeps breaking. Does any one else have this same experience?

Inappropriate?

I just purchased a subscription to Consumer Reports and they said that "side-by-side" refridgerators are 3 times more likely to have problems. I am currently looking and based off my research I am going for the traditional top freezer with no ice maker (Kenmore or Whirlpool).
